  • Overview

    Supporting the NOAA Office of the Chief Information Service Delivery Division in the operation of NOAA’s critical computing infrastructure to include the System Development and Hosting Services Branch (SDHS).  SDHS operates the Information Technology Data Center and the Web Operations Center (WOC).   

    Qualifications

    The SA will be responsible for installing new software releases, system upgrades, evaluating and installing patches, and resolving software related issues. Perform system backups and recovery, maintain data files, and monitor system configurations to ensure data integrity.

    1. BS/BA in a related field
    2. 6-8 years experience as a Systems Administrator
    3. Ability to work effectively in team settings and independently
    4. Configuration Management expertise

    Databases - MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL databases

    Application Services – IIS, TomCat, Apache, WebLogic, Oracle

    Required Certifications - NetScaler and Citrix ZenApp certifications

    Desired Qualifications: When possible, HM should provide a few traits that would be ideal or strongly desired.
    1. Experience with NOAA established procedures for on premise and cloud environments
    2. Linux/Solaris technical certification(s)
