Overview

Alpha Omega Integration is seeking a Sr. Database Specialist to work on a project for a federal customer.

Responsibilities

Applies an enterprise-wide set of disciplines for the planning, analysis, design, and maintenance of databases. Establishes standards for database management procedures. Provides technical guidance in database engineering techniques and automated support tools. Perform capacity planning, monitor system utilization and maintains systems to established compliance.  Evaluate and recommend available DBMS products to meet user requirements. Determine file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user application. Commensurate experience and education.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • 5+ years of overall experience
  • 4+ years of experience in client server OR 2+ years of experience of distributed architecture environment in the area of MIS or web-based applications development

 

Preferred:

Experience working for HHS

 

Location: 

Washington, DC, near a metro stop
